Synopsis: This collaborative piece, with Julie Fotheringham, was completed in one evening from start to finish. It was subsequently developed into a live performance version which can be seen on the Performance page of this site (see "Live at Monkeytown" and "do not disconnect"). Production Notes: In a completely real-time analog process, the output from the camera was input into a function generator, which alters the pitch of the sound based on the changes in brightness in the video signal. While improvising for the camera, Julie could hear the sound of her movements.
